Year-end charity campaign

Some neighborhood associations correct the money for the year-end charity campaign (歳末助け合い, saimatsu tasukeai) around this time of the season in Japan.  They distribute an envelop to each house of the area and you can put whatever the amount of the money in the envelop. Sometime later, the person who is in charge of correcting the envelop come to ask the envelop your donation in it. The envelop said the minimum amount of the donation is 500 yen, and that's how much the most of people donate.  Yet, I put 1,000 yen this time.  When the person who is in charge of correcting the envelop see inside the envelop to write the receipt, she was surprised and said:

Jailbreak my android (5)

"You can turn your smartphone into a brick if your rooting process for Android fails." That's what I read while I was researching of how to root (jailbreak) my phone. In English, they say "bricked" your android device, but in Japanese, they say: Bun-Chin Ka. "Ka" in the end means "turning into" or "-ized" or "become something" in Japanese.   Bun-chin is this:        Yes, it's a paper weight. So.

Jailbreak my android (4)

I have the microSD ready and the USB data cable ready. Now, I have to make my PC to be able to handle the android device. For that, I have to install the drivers, such as, Android ADB Interface, Android Bootloader Interface, and Android Composite Interface. But, before that, I need to install JDK (Java) to use those drivers.    After some struggling, I managed to install the latest Java and all those 3 drivers.      Then, I installed "mobileGo," and connected to my device.            Then it asked me what I would like to do.      It asked me again if I am sure about it. So, I clicked "OK."         It says "Now it's rooting your device. Please wait."         Then, it said something failed and cannot root the device.    Next, I tried Kingo Root.     It did seem working just fine.  Then, I got the message says:                     At this point, I think I did everythin

Jailbreak my android (3)

I tried the android applications that were supposed to jailbreak my android, but none of them worked so far.  So, I was trying the Windows applications by connecting my android device via USB cable.   The USB cable I had was I bought from 100 yen store, and it only charges the battery of the phone.  What I needed was the USB cable that can transfer data.  So, I stopped by at one of the electronics stores in town when I was close by.  It costed me about 460 yen.   I really cannot tell the difference between those 2 cables by looking, but one (yellow-green) can only charge the battery and the other one (black) can transfer the data.      Well, I invested the microSD card and USB data cable for this, so it'd better work this time (T T)

Jailbreak my android (2)

After the container, microSD card, is set, it's time to jailbreak. I tried some applications for that. First, I tried one of the most famous root application, z4root. But it says: "Please do not install this application:  z4root  This application contains the codes that attempts to bypass Android's security " The check box was followed by the message says "I understand it and continue installing."        Then, the security warning came out.  It says  "Security Warning:  There are some concerns about the security  Name: AndroidOS_LOTOOR.ISO Application: z4root Please delete this application."     [Delete] [Close]        Then, another message came out says:     "There were some problems.  z4root is closing." [OK]  The next one I tried was Framaroot.  When I start this application it says:   "Please do not install this application:  Framaroot This app

Jailbreak my android (1)

I have been working on jailbreak my android for the few days so far now because I started seeing the annoying error message as below on my phone. It says "There is no enough space to receive the email.  Please delete some of your unnecessary files." Then, I checked my android phone.  As it says, there is no enough space in my phone because of those applications that I installed.       The problem of this Android OS is that I can install those android applications only to my device, not to the microSD card.  If I can move those applications from my device to microSD card, that can gain not only more storage space but also more performance of my phone.  For that, I have to "jailbreak my android" or "root my android."  (*If you jailbreak your phone, you will not be able to get warranty for your phone, so please be careful when you do it.)     Before jailbreak my device, I would like to get bigger memory size microSD card. That will make more ro
