HANAWA-BASHI FESTIVAL 2015

I had happened to know this Hanawa-bashi festival an hour before the festival started.
I wished I could know this event earlier, so I could announce to the folks who are on my friend list on the SNS.

Not only they were showing the demonstrations of the taiko drums, traditional dance, karate, aikido, etc..(as you can see on the video on above,) but also they offered the free foods, such as the cakes from Nishino-ya bakery, curry rice from Curry-tei, gyoza, BBQ, cotton candy, and so on for the people who came to visit there.

Free cakes offered by Nishino-ya bakery in Miyako.

Japanese traditional dance demonstration

Many people came to enjoy the shows and the foods

They had the motorcycles for the test drive too.
I wanted to ride on them, but they did not let me because I did not have the driver's license for the motorcycles.  I had Honda Shadow 750 when I was in US.  All I needed to ride on the motorcycle there was the car drivers' license, but not in Japan.  Too bad.
I could have rode on the back seat of the motorcycle with the rider guy, but no.
I would be happy to ride with rider gal though.

The yuru-chara of Miyako city, Salmon-kun and Miyako-chan were there too to promote themselves for the Yuru-chara Grand Prix.
Please vote for them from the link below if you love Miyako city.  Thanks!!

It was fun, and I hope I can come back for the next one too.

Blogs and AdSense http://itoshunsuke.blogspot.jp/2015/07/blogs-and-adsense.html     When I see my Adsense page today, I see some numbers!! *Yay* Last time I open this page after years about 10 days ago, I found that I had made only 78 yen, and other numbers on the list were zero yen. But now, I see "+224 yen!!" This is GOOD. I will donate whatever I make from my blogs to the city of Miyako. Then, hopefully the city of Miyako will let people know by saying "The blogger, Ito Shunsuke, from Miyako has donated 10,000 yen!!" on city paper. So, I will get more traffic, and it will make even more money. Then, I probably can donate 100,000 yen next year, and 1,000,000 yen for the following year, so on. When it reach to 10,000,000 yen, I will say       *LOL*

Don't Drive and INGRESS

INGRESS is an interesting smartphone game and I have been playing months now. What is INGRESS?  Here's a wiki. Ingress (game) via Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ingress_(game) Players have to move around their towns for this game, so some players walk, another players use their bikes, and others drive. But you have to be very careful when you play this game and drive your car at the same time. When you get caught by watching smartphone while your are driving, you will get 1 penalty point on your driver's license and also the ticket cost you 6,000 yen. How do I know about it?

[PolitiC@Nippon] Ryukougo Taisho 2016: Japan’s Most Vogue Words of the Year

Ryukougo Taisho is one of the unique events of Japan. In the end of the year, they choose the buzzing words that everyone is using them in common during the year from TV shows, dramas, news, so on. (Sometime, it's not really used in common, but they pick those words anyway.) Last year, they chose some words from from politic, such as Abe Seiji wo Yurasanai (or "We won't tolerate Abe's politics") SEALDs, the "youth (well, there are some young folks but mostly old folks in their 60s and 70s) group" going against to Abe's politics) and so on.
