6. Jo'an-ji (Jo'an-ji Temple) [Portal]
Map: https://goo.gl/maps/t9ufl
Jo'an-ji Buddhism Temple is famous for the jigoku-e-zu, the painting of the scenes of Hell.
You would be able to see the idea of Hell in Buddhism. It's bit scary, but interesting to see at least once.
7. Higashi-Nihon-DaiShinsai-Bukkosha-Kuyou-Tou (Memorial Tower for the Deceased of the Great East Japan Earthquake.) [Portal]
In the same area of Jo'an-ji Temple, there is the Memorial Tower for the Deceased of the Great East Japan Earthquake. It will be nice if you could give them a silent prayer when you have a chance to visit there.
8. Jodoga-hama (Jodoga-hama Beach) [Portal]
"
(lit. 'Pure Land Beach') is located in Miyako, Iwate Prefecture, Japan. Part of the Rikuchū Kaigan National Park, it is a nationally-designated Place of Scenic Beauty. The beach was likened to the Pure Land Paradise by a priest in the early Edo period.

When you look for jo'doga-hama via internet, you can find the nice pictures, such as blue sky and very pure blue and green ocean surface. Unfortunately (or fortunately?) the day I visited there was not so nice as you can see in those pictures. But I figure they are still beautiful in the crappy weather.
There is walking trail so you can take a look the nice views of the beach.
9. Tateai-Kinrin-Kouen (Tateai-Kinrin-Park)
Not very far from the Miyako Station, there is a pretty park on top on the hill where you can look down Miyako city. In the park, there are the trees of Yoshino cherry, and bloom beautifully in the April.
10. Kuromori-Jinja (Kuromori Shrine) [Portal]
In the Kuromori mountain, in very nice and quiet area, there is Kuromori jinja.
They have the water place getting water from the natural spring, and the water is clear and cold. You can see the two goshinboku trees (sacred trees) higher up in the mountain (the trees in the first picture are not goshinboku, they are much bigger and taller.)
11. Rasa-no-Entotsu (the Chimney of Rasa) [Portal Reqesting]
Rasa's Chimney is about 160 meters high, and you can see it from most of anywhere in Miyako. They say there is a golden lightening rod top on the chimney; the reason of using gold is to avoid getting rusted not only by rain and wind but also by the smoke that contains chemical from the chimney, but the story of the golden lightening rod of Rasa's Chimney is one of the mysteries in Miyako.
