July 22th, 2015 Miyako International Community Radio via Miyako Harbor Radio 82.6 FM [LIVE]

Producer: Hisao Hashimoto
Assistant Producer: Yuri Kimura, Saaya Tazawa
Navigator: Eri Ito
Members: Ben Pedersen, Yonae Rolle
Interpreter: Togo Sasaki, Ito Shunsuke

Thank you very much for the great show as always, the radio staffs and members!!
It was very fun as usual and so funny to hear how they did at the cutter boat race, especially that they were beating each other because their timing of paddling had been off from each other *s*

I wanted to join to the race too, but somehow I thought the race would be sometime in September.  Even when I saw the pictures from the race on their timeline on SNS, I thought those pictures were from the previous year.  My positiveness makes me blind sometimes like this *LOL*

Besides the cutter boat race, we talk about the food in summer time.
In Japan, people eat cold noodles, "hiyashi chuka" and "reimen."
It totally killed Togo san, the interpreter.
Because he interpreted "hiyashi chuka" as "cold ramen," he did not know how to interpret "reimen" which basically is the same thing as "hiyashi chuka."
He and I were totally lost in the translation.
That interpretation struggling is also the fun part of the radio too, I think.
I really did not expect that was coming though *LOL*
Well done, Eri san *LOL*

Thank you very much again, and hopefully see you next week too!!

Don't Drive and INGRESS

INGRESS is an interesting smartphone game and I have been playing months now. What is INGRESS?  Here's a wiki. Ingress (game) via Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ingress_(game) Players have to move around their towns for this game, so some players walk, another players use their bikes, and others drive. But you have to be very careful when you play this game and drive your car at the same time. When you get caught by watching smartphone while your are driving, you will get 1 penalty point on your driver's license and also the ticket cost you 6,000 yen. How do I know about it?

[PolitiC@Nippon] Ryukougo Taisho 2016: Japan’s Most Vogue Words of the Year

Ryukougo Taisho is one of the unique events of Japan. In the end of the year, they choose the buzzing words that everyone is using them in common during the year from TV shows, dramas, news, so on. (Sometime, it's not really used in common, but they pick those words anyway.) Last year, they chose some words from from politic, such as Abe Seiji wo Yurasanai (or "We won't tolerate Abe's politics") SEALDs, the "youth (well, there are some young folks but mostly old folks in their 60s and 70s) group" going against to Abe's politics) and so on. At a theater

While I was watching the play at the theater, I suddenly said         then, I woke up. Yes, I was talking in my sleep. The person who was sitting next me was surprised and looking at me. So, I said her Then, I went back to sleep.
