Thank you very much for your support, radio staffs and members as always.
The topic was "the season autumn in Japan," and the topic was very difficult to interpret.
It is because in Japan, they say the season of autumn is not only suitable for various things, such as reading books (読書の秋) and doing sports (スポーツの秋) but also increasing their appetite the most in the four seasons (食欲の秋.) This is "only in Japan" thing, so though this is not the part of radio show, I would like to add little bit more information about it.
First, let's see the "dokusho-no-aki, (読書の秋,) the season autumn that is the best time for book reading." This came from the Chinese proverb, "touka-tanoshimu-beshi, (灯火親しむべし) Enjoy (reading books under) the candle light." After the season of the summer, it gets much cooler, and night time is longer in the autumn than summer, you can enjoy reading books. (Or you can enjoy playing video games. Yet you need to understand that they did not have video games when they made this proverb in China.)
Next is the "sports-no-aki, (スポーツの秋,) the season autumn that is the best time for doing sports." In October 10, 1964, they had the Olympic games in Tokyo. Since then, every October 10 had been the sports day holiday in Japan until they change the date to the 2nd Monday in October. So, October is the sports month in Japan.
And the last one is "shokuyoku-no-aki, (食欲の秋), the season autumn that is increase their appetite the most in the four seasons." It's because the day time in the autumn season is shorter and they get their nights longer, so they don't get much sunlight for their bodies. Then, their bodies ask to secrete more serotonin by eating instead of getting sunlight. So, that's how shokuyoku-no-aki happens.

Also, they have the harvests of many delicious food, such as apples, chestnuts, pears, sweet potatoes, persimmons, rice, grapes, matsutake mushrooms, autumn eggplants, and also those fishes, such as saury, bonito fishes, sardines, so on... if you are in Japan, those foods are the most delicious time of the year, so please give a try.

I lived in Colorado for about 10 years, so I know the autumn time is very short as only 2 weeks there where Ben chan came from. Also I lived in Florida where has only summer season in the most part of the state. So, this topic was little difficult for those members and also for Togo san to interpret. But they did a excellent job as always.
Well. They were laughing hard sometime during the show because Francis san was telling Togo san the English vocabulary "HERSHEY HIGHWAY" before the show started. So, that's how they were laughing whenever "chocolate (hershey)" came into the conversation.
It was very fun as always. Thank you very much for the fun time.
And I will see you next week!!
